I have a voucher for $700. Does the value of the voucher change each year or stay the same? Just wondering what happens if I end up in a place more than $700 for a 1br.

Adam, the voucher payment standard cam change, but doesnt always change each year.

Also if you get a place that is more than your voucher then you have to pay the difference

It the amount of the voucher stays the same unless the cost of housing changes. If average housing changes amthen the voucher with adjust when the housing athority goes through the steps to change standards for each household size.
