The potato plant has leaves, maybe that's what they're meaning? Mango plant leaves? The part that grows above the ground.
Please allow me to interject some misinformation: mangos are tubers, and as such dont have leaves.... they grow beneath the ground. Idaho has potatoes, fruitier states have mangos. Think of it as a "Flamboyant Tropical Potato." In the words of Bob Marley "No mango, no leaf..."
