Dad chose this as a family reunion destination and while we were all a bit skeptical, we absolutely loved it and can't wait to come back again. You will not be bored. Lots to do.

Probably among the top-10 best places I have stayed when comparing multiple locations I have stayed in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.(And I wasn't even there to ride the beautiful horses.) Enjoy gorgeous scenery of the valley and mountains NE of Sandpont, ID, as well as a forest environment in and around the family-owned old lodge and additional separate guest log cabins. (No doubt, If you are an Austrian or Bavarian, especially in the winter, you would feel at home here, as it is also near fine skiing at Schweitzer Mt. close to Sandpont.) I was with a group of 20 women from the local area for a week-end retreat. The breakfasts and dinners served were wonderfully prepared to complement the excellent Wood's meats of Bonner County, ID. God-willing, I will return for a weekend or day trips in order to learn Western horseback riding, a life-long desire...and I am 74. (As I first began downhill skiing in Austria at 39, there's hope.)

We went for a horse-drawn sleigh ride. It was beautiful and the people we wonderful. Complementary, coffee, hot chocolate or hot tea. They provided popcorn and blankets for the ride too. I think it makes a great family outing or a romantic date.

We have always been the type of family to take beach resort vacations but we decided this year to try something different. We wanted beautiful vistas, expansive lands, and an unparalleled horseback riding experience for the family, and we got all of that and more at Western Pleasure Guest Ranch. The hosts, Roley and Janice (and their entire family), were incredibly welcoming and accommodating and made the week a truly memorable vacation for us. The food was amazing, the horses were well-behaved and sweet, and the log cabins were cozy and warm. Needless to say, we will be returning again next summer (and bringing another family with us!) and are making our plans now! Can't say enough about our stay....

The minimum night stay in June is 3 nights.
I would add that the rooms in the lodge are truly awesome!!! Great for a couple with a kid. 2 of the rooms have a loft with an extra bunk. This place is amazing and you will love it and the people!!
Hello Holly, we do not have camp sites on our ranch. There are multiple campgrounds with rv hookups on Lake Pend Oreille which is about 16 miles from us. Dispersed camping is available on most Forrest Service Land ( more info on that here: https://www.fs.usda.gov/detailfull/fishlake/recreation/?cid=stelprdb5121831 ).
Our cabins have a couple steps to get up on the deck. The bedroom and bathroom are on the same floor.
