You're in the chair section, not lawn. Folding chairs to be exact. I was in section 202 for Avett Brothers and Head and the Heart; we ended up standing for the whole show anyway because everyone else around us stood up. Rock on.
That sounds like lawn tickets, and lawn is first come first serve. There are seats down below the lawn where you can have assigned spots. Not really any bad spots on the steep slope though.
