I love this venue. Been to multiple.concerts here and wherever you sit is a great view and sound. Parking in P3 is closer of a walk. Of course the concessions are expensive and they're alright. Security is fast, bathrooms are clean. Again experience is worth it for the sound and the view.

Love this amphitheater. I feel like no matter where you sit you have a great view. Saw tenacious d and had an amazing time. Great sound too!

My first time here and saw the Offspring! Amazing show! Decent acoustics. Outdoor theatre so bring jacket if your concert is at night and seat cushion if you want (modern plastic seats). Not a bad venue. They served hot dogs, sausage, nachos, beer, coffee. No cocktails though which is what I prefer for alcohol. You can bring in empty plastic bottle to fill with water. There is a drinking fountain on the far right of the theatre at the very top. Only 1 set of bathrooms. Can get very crowded when everyone is in line for merch, food and beer. Employees friendly and knowledgeable. Various parking structures near the venue but they’re tucked away so you have to find them, some on 1 way streets.

Excellent venue to see a concert. I had decent tickets - they weren't front and center, but they weren't extremely far from the stage. Where I was seated, the seats were very spacious and I didn't feel cramped in my spot, even with people next to me. It's a pretty neat location on a college campus. It was a nice walk over to the venue (we unknowingly picked the "far away" parking garage that required a lot of walking to get to where we needed to be, but oh well). I enjoyed seeing all the interesting architecture on the way over to the venue.

I saw the culture club there back then
Yes you can...and I took my 5 year old to a concert there recently
Not legally
24 rows away from stage a little to right if you get the first seats but if get them further left like seat 18 it's closer to the center. If you go to the web site click on events and tickets then seating map it will show you where it it is.
Im not sure but i thinkni remember them checking bags for those items amongst other stuff. If you are slick i know you can just dont be obvious; got to be discreet.
Nice area in lower section
Yes you can, as long as you are out of the walkways
Best bet would be hotels in Mission Valley near hotel circle.
Yes there will be event parking signs on college Ave directing you where to go.
Hotel circle/Mission Valley. Trolly is seriously 1000 feet from venue and stops all along the valley.
That one did. It was a lovely night. But I saw the WHO at the indoor theater once.. an event if a lifetime.
No, but masks are required
Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre and San Diego State University is located within a surrounding residential area. Out of courtesy to our neighbors, all events have an 11 pm curfew.
Since the doors open at 8pm, I'd say 9ish. There's usually 1h-1h30 buffer time between door opening and the performance.
I used Uber, was so easy and cheap
Get on the tram at San Ysidro station. Take the tram, the blue line. Get off at the tram station on 8th Street. Then take bus 955 to SDSU. Note that the last 955 bus leaves at 10:53 pm.
No problem taking your children there. Right in the middle of the SDSU campus. Large restrooms and plenty of concessions for snacks and drinks
As per the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre at SDSU website: "What are the will call rules? Concerts: Will Call – tickets are available at the Aztec Center Box Office beginning 90 minutes prior to event start time."
Take the 992 bus from the airport to the train/trolley. It stops really close to the show... Enjoy!
Yes, one bottle, 20oz or less but water bottle must be sealed (i.e. not opened) at the time you are going through the security check line. Thank you.
Section AAA is closer to the stage.
No, this forum Is located within the University os San Diego.
They did ask me but it may depend on the event
I think its underneath the stadium but I'm not 100% sure
It depends on the event but it starts at 10 the general I think there are more expensive
The box office at the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre is only open the day of an event. The hours vary depending on the event. Please contact the Administrative Office for the box office hours for a specific show. To purchase tickets for the venue, please go to the Viejas Arena box office. https://as.sdsu.edu/calcoast/office
Take 5 south, in San Clemente Ca. is a inmigration section , it is before San Diego Ca.
There are two parking structures dedicated for special events and they do offer handicapped parking, but none are close to the amphitheater itself. You will have to walk at least a quarter of a mile.
Shannon they can scan your mobile ticket
Pretty close. Smallish venue and you're near to the front
Yep. Not too sure the hours of operation as far as buying future shows, but day of show they're open.
Event parking was $5. Signs direct you to the lot/structure. Good directions came with the tickets.
