I have never seen anyone get ticketed for having their dog on the beach but I would assume that the ticket would be between $75 and $150. It really shouldn't be that much. I used to run along the beach with a police officer and his canine. When I lived in Oceanside a few years ago.

The only requirement is a leash from what I saw. Haven't seen anything 9n payment for a dog.
