They do buy silver, gold and anything else that has a value with the current price of silver, gold, or any other precious metal. Sterling is pure silver in silverware sets. It should say "925" on each individual piece. If it's pure silverware, not plated, then weigh what you have with a scale. Go to Google and type in "live silver bullion value". It will give you a buy rate per ounce of silver. Liberty Coin will pay you 20% to 30% less than that current buy figure you'll find in the stock market. They do the same things with coins. The will almost never pay you more than melt value when they buy from you. I have done a ton of business with them and every time I leave there I feel like they low ball me because they know I need the money or I wouldn't be selling off pieces of my gold coin collection.
