What an absolutely incredible meat market! They are extremely clean, well organized and offering a complete selection of all hand-cut meats and poultry. Elizabeth was knowledgeable about not only the cuts I wanted but also the sourcing of their local quality products. Having a true butcher package my selections the way I wanted was like it used to be. I was raised at a time when this type of market was the standard. It’s was pleasure to see this particular market and its outstanding staff today.

Hello Cassidy, we do not. The majority of what we carry is local Beef, Pork, Lamb and Poultry. Raised locally here in Oregon. Thanks and hope to see you at the market soon!

Thank you for your interest in and support of Basics Market. We do take EBT at most of our locations, but unfortunately, due to the narrow assortment of products at our Beaverton Meat Market, it does not qualify for EBT, but our 3 other markets (Sandy Blvd, Lovejoy, Hillsdale) all accept it. We are working on a plan to expand our assortment in order to gain qualification, but as you can see, the market is quite small. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on progress, and hope to see you at one of our other market locations in the meantime.

Our main supply is our own, locally raised, organic beef. Our cattle are pasture raised as our Oregon weather allows. While the majority of our cattle ration is grass based, we also supplement with corn silage (the entire plant) and other organic grains, proteins and minerals.
