Extremely busy. We are talking about rush out after the fireworks end and people are leaving San Diego at the same time. Worst time to leave actually
It's the worst. Honestly you are better off not driving away until 11pm I was up on the 10th floor in the hotel right in front the the hotel and I saw the biggest traffic jam ever. I'm telling you you should park far away and walk to the pier to see the fireworks or don't plan on leaving for at least 2 hours after the show. Maybe get some icecream or food after lol. But the best fireworks show on the west cost.
Pretty bad usally takes a few hours to get away from the museum.

You won't even get in if you don't get in early! And there's a crush to get out BigBoom is at 8pm so 10pm is rush to get out!
