Energy schedules OEA appointments for PGE and PP once per week, we chose to do so on Mondays. No matter which day appointments are scheduled there would not be enough to meet the need unless there were additional funds available. Our phones open at 8:00 any calls prior to this time will not be added to the que. The que hold 13 calls, when full it will not accept additional calls until there is an opening. We receive hundreds of calls every Monday morning and there is a limited number of appointments available. OEA appointments are usually filled by 9:30 at which time we start a waiting list for the week. Energy's current OEA funding is not sufficient to meet the number of PGE customers requesting assistance. OEA funding is received monthly during the program year; October through September. Energy's phone lines are busiest October through April, funding is available through September.
My understanding is you can call anytime during business hours and make an appointment. But calling Monday morning you're more likely to get an appointment sooner than when calling at any other time. I kept forgetting to call on Monday mornings and finally called on another day and my appointment was I think 5 weeks out as opposed to having it sooner had I called on Monday. That's what I was told anyway. I hope this helps.
