My dog is very sick and its time to let him go & end his suffering. I tried to call about euthanasia services & had questions but got no calls back. If i were to just walk in would i have to wait a long time or are they good about getting you in?

Valley Vet is very compassionate & take great care of your pet. They allow you to be in the room with your pet. They put your pet on a nice blanket on the floor. They then give your baby a sedative to relax him/her. You stay with him/her and love your baby with with no one in the room. They then knock & ask if you are ready. They inject the drug that stops the heart. You can choose to stay with your pet afterwards. I usually did until I could compose myself. Keep in mind your pet loves you unconditionally. Being with them & letting them go is your gift to them. I know you can choose to take your pet or have a group cremation or pay extra to have them cremated with their remains returned to you. You will need to call & make an appointment. The front desk gals are great. My heart goes out to you as this is a hard thing to do.

I've had to put a couple of my furbabys put down. I'm so sorry. I go to Northpoint Veteranen clinic on Division. They let you stay with your baby. They will cremate your baby so you can take them home. They also do a paw print for you.. Just remember to say you want your baby cermateted alone. Anywhere you go. Other wise they do a group of them together. So you don't just get your baby....

A vet is a better option for euthanasia. I went to Garland Animal Center in the Shadle district for my one cat and also VCA on North Division for our dog. Garland has reasonable prices and are very nice and compassionate.

We had to do the same last winter for our good old girl with cancer in her mouth. We walked in and were helped right away. Also they were so good and compassionate during a very difficult and emotional time. So sorry that the time has come to say goodbye to your good friend :(

We just had to make the choice in May to euthanize our oldest furbaby. It's 30 for that and 35 or so to create if you leave them the remains to be spread on their property. More if you want to take remains with you. We did make an appointment and they were wonderful, letting us into a private room while we waited. You also have the option of taking your pet's body for burial.
