I have my veteran step father's ashes. My mother has recently passed and now we have found paperwork necessary for his burial. I don't live here and am wondering what to do next. Can I give veteran affairs the ashes and paperwork?

Here is the contact page. https://www.oregon.gov/ODVA/Connect/Pages/Connect.aspx Email or give them a call. They have good people, they can assist you in one way or another.

I would assume they would point you in the right direction to do that. I would highly doubt they would actually take the ashes
