You're looking for an electrical item for a 20 year old car. Do yourself a favour when you go, and don't stop and grab the first one you find. Look at all the cars, and try to find an alternator that has already been recently replaced. You'll be looking for it to be shiny and bright, with paper stickers still intact, etc.. If you're going to buy a used electrical part, you might as well buy the freshest one with the most life left in it that you can find, as they are all priced the same.
