The CV joint the boot and the axle Are All One Piece. It's made together not to be separated if yours is separated it's definitely bad. Don't waste your time trying to reboot an old axle either. A new axle is only sixty bucks at Costless that's a lot better option than getting some use piece of junk from the junkyard for 40. Call Cost Less in Vancouver Washington save money
Buy a new one and save the headache.
Its an axle shaft assembly and you should definitely buy it as one piece.
