If you don't find the ferret at the shelters, Petco does run sales on the ferrets pretty often. Price ranges from $79-$139 with most sales on ferrets at $99. Source: Petco Community
Currently $169.99 before tax.
Thanks leah. Didn't know they were so spendy#
You'll likely find a better deal and a healthier animal at a shelter. Whatever the price is you get (Usually between 100-150 depending on sales) you need to factor in a trip to a vet who takes ferrets (not all do) to make sure its healthy. Many mass bred store bought animals come with health issues so bear that in mind. My turtle came with a nasty case of shell rot that took months to clear up (University District location) and at this particular Petco, it was not disclosed upon purchase that my snake had been cured of a case of mites mere weeks before. The snakes should have been under quarantine but that obviously doesn't make money. As with most mite cases go, my snake came down with a case of IBD and went from fine to dead in 24 hours after hitting the disease's incubation period.
