Where exactly is the self parking? The lot behind the building? Is there direct access to the building from the lot or do we need to drag our luggage around to the front? Does the Olivian garage have direct access?

Yes unload in front then park direct under Olivian. If u have a passenger with mobility issues leave them up as well as unless u walk the ramp its quite a stair hike out

We took our luggage in during check-in and were able to leave the car out front while we took it to our room. There is not valet during covid-19. They gave us a pass to the olivian garage but it was an adventure getting in and out. I would not do it with luggage. They will give you directions to which lot has spaces left.

We use uber as a way of transportation. He was able to leave us in front of the hotel.
