My friend is moving because of a job and can’t take his 1 1/2 year old german shep/ lab/ chow mix with him and I already have 2 dogs so I can’t take her but any advise on where to take her? She’s chipped and up to date on her shots just needs a home.

You could Call the Intake of the Humane Society so that you can als if they got space for the dog.

Ambyr, please advise your friend to take her to a no-kill shelter like the Humane Society or Suncoast Animal League. Please do not give the dogs away because they could get abused or even killed if they get into the wrong hands. There may even be a local German Shephard rescue that could take her. Please only go throu a reputable no-kill shelter.

Is dog still Available

My understanding is that the Humane Society is no-kill as long as the animal is adoptable. If they don't have room then they just won't take in the animal. Other options would include other pet rescues in town and classified ads in the newspaper or on Craigslist.
