Just a extra heads up. I thought mt dog had it, but I took her in & with a blood test , found out she had leukemia & anemia! (Red saggy lower eyelid was 1st sign i saw) all got worse very fast, & had to let her out of suffering 2 wks later. Love ur babies.
Try to massage it back into place. It worked for my dog and hasn't came back!
It is not immediately serious, but the longer the "third eyelid" is swollen and out of place, the more likely is continued irritation, inflammation, and the possibility of a secondary infection.
Sometimes it does but not much. It can get larger and that is when it may become a problem. You may want to go to the Humame Society on Armenia and ask about what you can do to remove it. I think Animal Coalition is expanding their medical services so I would ask them too about what they can do to remove it.
No. It just looks unpleasant. Physically there is no harm.
Yes. You would need to go to a regular vet. Animal Coalition is just a spay neuter place.
