Hello Betsy! So, there are two different kinds of mange, there is Demodectic (hereditary) mange and Sarcoptic (pest-caused) mange. If your pet has Sarcoptic mange from fleas/ticks/mites etc, we definitely have topical products to put on your pets - dips, and sprays and such. Some of the products are sulphur based, some are permethrin based and our staff at the store can advise you if you'd like to bring in your pup so we can see. If it's the hereditary mange, unfortunately, any treatment for that is only available through a veterinarian. As a side note, I have heard that people have used it, but I do not recommend burnt motor oil as a treatment. I understand the concept of using it, it would suffocate the pests on your pet and they would die. But if your dog is an outside dog or has opportunity to get lots of sun it could burn their skin, it could be toxic (dogs lick and chew), and it's a real mess too (dirt and everything else sticks to it!). Hope this helps!
