Depends on the day man. Sometimes it is way too busy if your not there early.
Yeah there are some nice campgrounds for hike in. Past the sol duc falls. I believe you can reserve spots if you call.
It's better if you go on a Sunday, there's much chance of availability!
We got there pretty late in the evening on a week day and there was a lot of availability. It all depends on when you guys are going
