If you're not buying a car from them I would much rather take the car to a normal mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection vs the dealership. If they do the inspections it will cost a lot more at the dealership then elsewhere.
I think you should ask them. However, if not buying or trading a car in with them, I would personally take it to Mel's Automotive and get a fair and unbiased opinion.
