I asked when it was finally my turn. The answer didn't make sense, but here it is... 1. Not all the lanes are equipped to do all cars. Yet, I watched all makes, models and years go to the short line. No apparent pattern. 2. I had my puppy in the car on the the way home from the vet. No dogs allowed in the short line. Yet only a handful of drivers in the long line had dogs. So, that didn't make sense. Bottom line advice... Don't take your dog. You will definitely go to the long line. Too bad they don't inform us. As in a sign that reads... "Be prepared to wait longer if your dog is present" or "For expedited service, take your dog home".
I think those lanes cost more money like the fast pass at Disney World. Also for relatives and club members, it's a big club.
The information on pets is on the form you receive in the mail
From what I have noticed it has to do with break & lunch schedules for the various testing crew members.
Certain vehicles require additional tests, not all lanes are equipped for everything. I think.
You would need to ask them directly.
