Do you have to be apart of the church or can a visitor sit in on a session?

You have to be a member to go in the temple.

You're more than welcome to come and visit the church in fact it's encouraged

Visitors are not permitted to enter the temple and participate in a session. Anyone is welcome to walk the grounds.

Visitors can sit in. Being temple worthy is what you mean. You don't have to be.
