I visited my local Lowe's today and quickly purchased what I needed. As I checked out, I asked why :owe's doesn't have hand-carry baskets available at the entrance for customers that don't need a big shopping cart.

We do have small baskets with wheels that can be carried or rolled. I will recommend we have them returned to the main entrance. Thanks

Probably like other stores that did away with the hand baskets due to thieves that fill them up with products (batteries, etc) & run out of the store to a waiting car.

Thats a good question never thought of that

At Home Depot you use 5 gal buckets, I'd assume the same applies at Lowe's

Don't buy from Lowe's.

Depends on location

I think I've seen a few blue baskets towards the front entrance as you walk in. They don't have a lot of them. Probably get snatched up early and get stacked up by the registers when you check out.

Normally customer's who are at Lowe's typically buy bulky items, and i have seen items being carried in a 5 gallon bucket, not sure if they were purchased at the register.

My sister is a manager at one and she says it's mostly because most items in the store are too big or heavy for the baskets, and they don't want people to strain themselves or drop and break items. It's for safety for people and property.
