Since Lakewood Pediactrics became part of Sea Mar CHC it became one of those clinics that are just a nightmare. My children have been patients here since 2010 and we were always able to get same day appointments for urgent care, front desk always answered right away and we never had to wait more than one hour at the exam room. That exceptional service is gone since Sea Mar CHC bought the clinic. I also never had to call the billing department to have them bill the correct insurance, my kids have dual insurance and I get bills because they didn’t bill the correct insurance. I used to be a Sea Mar CHC employee and I understand their politics and dynamics, but making this clinic like the other ones was a big mistake. Only reason I dont give one star is because Dr. Montano is one of the best Pediatricians and she is the only reason why we have stayed.

5 stars for how it was before SeaMar took it over. Due to my downgraded review it is averaged to 3 stars now. I use to be able to talk to someone right away. Now I always have to wait 5-10 minutes. I'm being put through all sorts of big company policies that didn't use to exist when it was a stand-alone clinic. I miss the old Lakewood Pediatrics. It also doesn't help that our pediatrician just retired. The kids loved him. Now they're trying to adjust to a new doctor. That's just a tip of it. If it weren't for a parenting plan that needed them to stay there I'd move them in an instant.

My daughter and I have been trying for three days to make an appointment for my granddaughter who has asthma. She is miserable!!! We've been to all the emergency rooms who are all full due to COVID with waiting time of over 10 hours or more. The staff at Sea Mar are the worst we have EVER dealt with. They're rude, have a could care less attitude, there's no talking to or listening from any of the staff. This USED to be one of the best pediatric care places you could go to, but now they are just one SAD waste of time.

I honestly before today have had perfect experiences, everytime. Its normally quick, we always have the same wonderful nurse, and Dr. Coe has always been great. But, today was not ok. Me and my kids waited an hour & 30 min to see our doctor with an appointment. Which is normally the wait time at an emergency room on a Friday night. It was extremely difficult to get through because both my kids started losing their patience and were not prepared to have that long of a wait. I wish they would have called me to come in later if the schedule was backed up because there was no communication, they watched me struggle to keep my kids sitting patiently over an hour in and said absolutely nothing to me. Before today's experience it would have been an easy 5 stars. I really hope this doesn't happen again.
