Was this on a Sunday? The mall closes @ 7 on Sunday.
Some stores have different hours from the mall hours. It's mostly ones with an outside entrance (Macy's & JC Penney).
Also it's getting close to the holidays an some will be getting ready for black Friday were they open earlier an stay open later. If slow they close earlier then normal.. so I would call if possible to double check..
They sometimes close early when business is slow
They shouldn't be closed until 9PM
