You park at the trail jaed and the service raod is full of potholes but when i was up there is did it in aprius and i saw nothing but other sedans there and like one outback. You can do it but take it slow and be aware of the rough patches. Avoid it after a big rain.

I took a compact rental car back there. It's very bumpy with a lot of potholes. I probably would not do it after alot of rain but, oh my, it is worth it!

Parking at end of the service road, start of trailhead. Service road is about 3 miles of rough dirt/gravel. Lots of pits and unlevel ground. I would not take a small 2wd sedan back there but i saw several that were back there.
