Can't believe I had to go on to deal with some workforce stuff and was dreading it! Got there and all they did was help, they even paid almost 300.00 for me to get my license back and gave me a has card!

Easy, fast paced, no wait time barely. Everyone's dream visit at the DSHS!

Marilou Castaneda is a horrible case worker! She is rude, snotty, and not at all nice. EVER. Every single time that I've been in this office, I see her bad attitude towards the public citizens that are there for help. This woman has personally talked down to me, rolled her eyes at me, refused to answer my questions, and has threatened to cancel my benefits as I sat right in front of her desk. I want her FIRED!

DSHS has vastly improved their wait times and the friendliness of their staff over the last few years. I usually end up going in right after lunch and I am never there longer than an hour. I believe their lunch ends around 1:30. Also going in super early when they first open helps. They are faster than being on then being on the phone. if you go inside the DSHS office to get benefits you can have them recorded to you that day whereas if you do a phone interview you have to still make copies mail in the paperwork or fax it and either way it's going to delay your benefits up to several weeks. this is especially important with EBT (food stamps) because you can get the card find you and loaded all in one trip.

You would have to call office to ask if that is considered income?
Call them give them your client ID and wait a half hour to two hours depending on how busy they are and they will tell you
They don't like to give new ones at the office, because of fraud concerns. They will mail you a new or if you call em.
