Cameras are just fine. The resoning behind no flash is that the flash can hurt some if the animals eyes, particularly in the deep sea area. Unless marked otherwise, take as many photos as you like!

Most areas are ok to use a flash. The areas that aren't are clearly posted. I saw a man take photos of the jellyfish without a flash and no one seemed to mind.
