It's moss so it will grow as long as it gets light. If a plant does not get light it won't grow. Good luck with the tree
Super glue polymerizes once it touches water so it's completely safe for fish & plants. Mosses need light like any other plant, so as long as it receives adequate light it should be fine.
Can you just tie it down with fishing line, or just glue it to the tree?
