Thank you for inquiring about our animal welfare, and more importantly, thank you for caring! The welfare of our animals is of the utmost priority for our organization. All of our animal exhibits are designed with their well-being in mind and meet or exceed the standards set by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). LLPA collaborates with zoos and aquariums around the country to ensure the survival of threatened and endangered animals as part of several Species Survival Plan® (SSP) Programs. These are conservation and cooperative breeding programs that help maintain genetic diversity and stabilize the population of specific species. Some of our SSP Animals include the Clouded leopards, Gentoo penguins, Linnaeus's two-toed sloths, Zebra sharks, and many more.
Not really sure how most of them came to be in the aquarium, however, several of the animals, including the turtles have health problems such that they couldn't survive in the wild. So they are better off in the aquarium. I believe a few others, like the otters, were born in the aquarium. All the animals here seem content and are very well fed.
They are well cared for.
The animals seemed very well taken care of and the staff made sure they where not harmed...
From what I've observed, they are well taken care of. I haven't seen any that I thought looked mismanaged.
They definitely seem happy and well taken of, I recommend going
From my perspective the animals are. Most seem very happy and there are so many workers that I can't imagine them not being fed enough.
I'm pretty sure all the animals are rescue animals. They are very well taken care of and the staff there is amazing.
Very well.
Really well taken care of
