Agree with other posters - generally no you don't need to but evenings, weekends, and even summer afternoons can be busy. If there's more than 1-2 in your party, you may want to consider calling ahead.

You don't have to, on weekends they do tend to get busy and sometimes have a call back/wait list. If you are going as a large group, it would be smart to call ahead of time to confirm that they have open space.
