Good answer Rebecca, i didn't even think about the pools. You have to really like cold water to swim in the sound. But anywhere you can park your car and see water is fair game. I think button peninsulas park is ideal for swimming. Protected water so it might bea little warmer. no lifeguards,
You can swim at KVI or there is a pool at the high school or the Vashon Athletic Club .
