It was short but nice walk, weather was nice, place was clean and well maintained, you can have dog on leash, little problem with parking but still be able to park.

This beach is privately own by a radio station the sign said so, and it's located on Vashon Island, you need ferry to get to this beach and ferry price cost you less than $30 bucks. Very quite and a good place to go winding down from a very long stressful day at work.

Good answer Rebecca, i didn't even think about the pools. You have to really like cold water to swim in the sound. But anywhere you can park your car and see water is fair game. I think button peninsulas park is ideal for swimming. Protected water so it might bea little warmer. no lifeguards,
Yes, go way out to the end of the spit past the tower at high tide. Don't even need a bathing suit. it's usually hypothermia inducing to most people.
