All of the shelters in the area are very low kill. The only reason for a euthanasia is an untreatable painful medical condition or extreme aggression. I believe age and breed do not matter and they will do whatever possible to find all animals a home.

From my understanding, this facility is more of an intake center for lost animals and if the pets aren't claimed after a certain time period then they are taken to other facilities where they are put up for adoption. You can surrender a pet there as well.

My beutiful dog "Flower" she came from that shelter and the people in there were amazing. She was found by a cop in the street in Dicember, nobody claim her, so I went in March and adopted her.

Unless the pet is deemed aggreesive or has an untreatable disease, the pet will be rehomed, sent to a rescue or hospice.
