Most all housing services are via CEA (Coordinated Entry for All). To get on this list and get an update emergency shelter list, it is best to call 211. This can be accessed from a cell phone or any public phone. If your cell is out of state you may have to get transferred to your local county. Mist services are based on the city/county of your kast residence (although Seattle services can be an exception to that)
Yes but first you need to complete what is called a Coordinated Entry for All (CEA) which puts all your relevant information into a sort of pool of housing providers. That allows for housing providers who work the most closely with individuals or families matching your demographic, or as close as possible to desired demographic, to provide housing. Catholic Charities and Catholic Community Services work with each other to provide shelter information, transitional housing (requires an application process and sobriety), as well as assistance once someone is placed on housing. They provide shelter space at night which is coordinated through the Women's Referral Center located at 3rd and Lenora next to the YWCA.
Do not go to the Women's Referral Center! The women who operate this program are extremely aggressive, argumentative and hostile. Not fit for a job, such as this.
Yes you can but there are steps to complete.
