I may be rusty on the facts involved. However I believe this to be accurate. If your husband followed the letter of the law in regards to a service animal. The animal is allowed almost anywhere. Proper Training ( animal of good manner and demeanor)and all vacinations of the animal. Up to date. A doctors note explaining why the animal is needed. Vest or harness identifying it as a service animal. In addition I believe their is a fine for misrepresenting an animal that is not actually providing a recognized service.Paper work would have to be on hand. In fact!! believe it is required. Again I may be rusty with current law. People wanting to bring their cute, cuddly, fur friends to the grocery store has made it harder for people with actual service animal needs. You should also be aware that animals on exhibit at the fair may not respond well to a service animals presence. The staff at the various animal exhibit barns may offer more information. Best regards
