You can pay to hold them or have a photo with them. I was lucky enough to hold the tail on one of the large alligators in the main area. It was for an additional fee and yes, I was required to sign a waiver. The money goes to feeding and housing of the animals.

Beside the Amphitheater there is a booth where you can pay to hold a snake. They also allow you to come an touch the animals after the show in the Amphitheater
