I personally stopped here on my way back to Amarillo from Houston. Just couldn't make that last leg of my journey. I was here for 10 hrs. I was awakened twice by Highway Patrolmen and assured that this is a secure place to rest. The officer told me someone would drive by every 10 to 15 minutes to check that I was resting easily. That was very comforting and I got the rest I needed. awakened

Yes. There's not a security guard, but there is a maintenance attendant. And the highway patrol comes through pretty regularly. The truck side is intended expressly for a place for truckers to stop for 8 hours of sleep.
