Yes and its beautiful, just only accessible via the boat dock. Its COMPLETELY surrounded by private property, and they are sticklers about it. But the campground is beautiful and there are other lake within relatively easy trail walking distance. If you fish, you can walk a little ways down from the Association, and fish the river that the lake feed. Just make sure you stay on the river side and look for the no trespassing signs. They Associations not shy. The signs are verrry noticeable
Correct. The property around East Rosebud is owned by the cabin owners, who formed an "Association" a zillion yes ago. Some people rent their cabins, but 'the Association' no longer allows cabin rentals via social media. However, there are multiple other lakes that are hikable from the ERL or Jimmy Joe campground. One could even hike from the Cooke City side down into East. Google "the Beaten Path" Whichever lake you visit- this is Bear country, so please follow the safety rules for back country hiking or camping.
The campground is up from the lake. But you are near the lake and can see it .. a fantastic view.
Yes but there is only a dock to get onto a lake the rest is private property
