Yes you have go in person to setup your site. Pay ahead and keep a vehicle or tent on site.
Rervations for camping is only when the fair is in progress. Got lucky and found 1 spot just showing up.
No reservations for camp sites only cabins. Camping is 1st come.
Last I knew they don't take reservations. 1st come 1st serve. Not positive though....
