Nicest RV park in have ever been to. The owners are great and I can't recommend this place enough! Top notch grounds maintenance with a playground and two ponds. They have two laundry and shower buildings both are in great condition and they even have a small gym in one of them. My favorite part was the location, it's close to everything you could possibly need but it's on the outer edge of town so it's really quiet and peaceful

Carol does an excellent job of maintaining the grounds, and running the facility. Awesome place to camp. This is the quietest campgrounds ever. It's peaceful and the people are friendly. I love it here! Close to so many things going on in, and around Des Moines.

Becky was the most amazing and helpful ever!!!! 100% will be back just because of how kind and polite she was. The facilities are great, grounds looked immaculate. Can't wait for my next stop by!

Very nice park. Very clean. Well laid out. Jan 1, 2022. A snowstorm has kept us here for an extra day or two. Just wish we could fill our propane tank before we leave. 6 degrees, snowing and wind blowing.

That is true Becky and the nicest campground we have ever stayed at. Winter time is brutal in Altoona and like most campgrounds they have limited space in the winter. We spent last winter at Griffs. Awesome ownes and facility.
I don't think they care as long as it's paid on time.
They seem like they have enough spots that you wouldn't need a reservation, but it's always good policy to make a reservation just in case. If they don't have any then there's always Yellow Banks camp ground too and one other campground very close in the area.
It takes me about 45 min to get to West Des Moines duri g rush hour.
$435/month. So that's $5220/year. I don't believe there's an additional discount for booking a whole year
Very nice park. Owner very nice and helpful. I think they do Aarp and AAA discount.
Pretty sure they are already filled for long term spots also
Not really any place to tent camp, all are concrete pads. Pay by the night, week, or month for long term
