I've spent quite a bit of time climbing the Ponce De Leon light house. You can see a great distance out over the water, so there is always the possibility of seeing dolphins. DEFINITELY bring binoculars, if that is your goal. I try to remember them every time I go. In fact, on one occasion at the top, I saw a pod of what I thought were large, dark colored dolphins, only to find out that it was in fact a group of either Pilot Whales, or Pigmy Sperm Whales. I found out because one beached itself a little ways down on the beach. While I, and many others, were pouring buckets of water over it's body, so as to not dry out, a truck pulled up with a group of Marine Biologists from the animal rehabilitation center close to the light house, and a van from Sea World to help rescue it. Point is, this area is FULL of adventure. You never know what you may see : ) ...just don't forget the binoculars.
I took a boat tour on the Ponce Inlet watersports (across from the lighthouse) and got to see some dolphins. The ride is nice, inexpensive, informative and we had fun. My family enjoyed it.
No we did not. Take a fishing trip across the street. Dolphins love to ride the boats waves
Not really. It's a great experience though
I wouldn't count on it, you'd need some strong binoculars. Regardless it's a great place to visit, lots of history to see and read about.
