This place is above 5 star. The fresh seafood and steak and pasta menu has something for everyone. Did I say FRESH?! The fish spread is Stellar! And if you are looking for a refreshing drink... The signature Islamarada Rum runner is a Win. The manager Matt and bartender Nina are so friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is beautiful inside in the a/c or on the outside deck, waterfront. We will definitely be back next year.

First time visiting Down The Hatch and had a great experience!! I have many food allergies and am limited to what I can eat. Down The Hatch has so many different great food options. I ordered a steak which was out of this world and my boyfriend got the tuna steak that was also out of this world. Both were great size wise. We liked it so much we literally went back the next night and ordered the same exact thing. They have a great outdoor seating area located right on the water with great views. Also we had a great waiter our first night his name was Thore he is new to Down The Hatch and was super nice, so good listening to me about my food allergies and has a great personality that made our experience there so much better.

The evening we were there we pulled into the parking lot and found an Ambulance, Fire engine & Police Cruisers. Apparently a woman had fallen ill inside the restaurant. As we had been to Diwn the Hatch several times before we waited until the woman received care and put in our names on the wait list. The Hostess mentioned that the kitchen was backed up and behind but was catching up. It was pretty busy. After about 30-40 minutes we were seated. Our Server was prompt, courteous and friendly. We had a variety of appetizers, salads, soups and of course main entrees. No one complained at all except they were out of crab legs. I had the Captains Platter blackened and it was outstanding, cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly. It was about the best seafood I've had. We found out it was our Servers 1st night after brief training and she did a spectacular job. Would have never known it was her 1st night. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and service. We went to the bar 🍸 and had a cocktail.

We are on vacation here from Idaho, and were looking for a local place with great seafood, and the menu online really stood out to us for its variety and prices. It was a great choice!! Ian was our server tonight and he was awesome! He treated our family with so much respect and attentiveness and humor, as well as excellent customer service and professionalism. He even helped deescalate a situation when some drunk customers tried to cause problems with another server and then apologized to us for the disruption at the end of our meal. And last but not least, he helped dig through the trash to look for our daughter's retainer when it accidentally got thrown away in a napkin on her plate. So you probably are wondering about the food...It was excellent, fresh, and plentiful portions! There was live music, and the scenery was fun at the harbor with Christmas lights and decor, as well. The prices are reasonable & it was well worth the drive!

Yes, they do. On Friday it is very busy there.
They have their deck open... It might be worth a call to see if they allow dogs on their deck
