Your dog isn’t allowed at beaver bay beach. That said, there are miles of trails that are right on the edge of the lake and you can take Fido for a walk and he can get wet. At sunrise day use area there is a gravelly beach area where you can take him swimming and you can jump in with him. That beach does attract a crowd. I walked my dogs from Gilmore campgrounds to buttonhook bay and there were lots of places for dogs to get wet. You can access the lake side trails from sunrise day use, beaver bay beach parking lot, and the boat launch parking.
