Hi Chris, In 2020, fishing at Hagan-Stone Park is free in designated areas, and can be done during park hours. You ask specifically about bass fishing... there are some bass in the ponds, but a park ranger told me that they're primarily stocked with catfish and crappie. Fishing is regulated by the NC Wildlife Resources Commission so individuals 16 years of age and older must possess a valid North Carolina Fishing License, and individuals under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult in possession of a valid North Carolina Fishing License. Fishing from the bank is allowed, so come on out and wet a line!
Bank fishing, and fishing is free also there are some big fish old ponds !
