There are unpaved bike and horse trails roughly 4 and 6 miles away. We don’t allow horses on Carney Island, but we do have over 5 miles of hiking and biking trails here. The horse trails are on St. Johns River Water Management property (Sunnyhill and Ocklawaha Restoration Areas). Please call Parks and Recreation if you have more questions: 352-671-8560

Are there horse trails nearby?

Thanks for the information.

There is a trail that is for hiking or bicycle riding. I will say it is a good part sugar sand so only plan to use it if you have fat tires! It's about 3 miles around the loop and takes you from the little lake weir side to the big lake weir side.

I'm not sure. We were on the water.
