Service dogs are permitted at all Marion County parks and recreation areas. However, dogs are not permitted at parks with swim areas, such as Carney Island. Please let us if there is anything else we can do to help by contacting our main office at (352) 671-8560.

I have been going to Carney Island for not less than 36 years and as far as I know, (No they do not allow dogs) However if the dog is a certified service animal I believe it would be acceptable with proper documentation.
