By this time of the year, all sunflowers in the entire state are long past blooming. Some of the flowers, like ours, are still in the field waiting to be harvested but they are just a field of dead flowers now. Our first frost typically happens sometime in October but the flowers are usually gone by mid-September at the latest. (Usually...) Thanks for asking, Cindy.

😱 You mean harvesting them.

Unfortunately you missed them this year. You might check Berryhill Upick farm as they still had some blooms last week as they planted in stages.

The 2018 sunflower seeds were planted on July 10 and the peak blooming in 2018 was a week or two into September. The flowers bloom about 2 weeks or less.  It's best to try and see then 1st couple weeks in September

I was there 4 weeks ago and they were wrapping up then. The 2018 sunflower seeds were planted on July 10 and the peak blooming in 2018 started early September and the flowers bloom about 2 weeks or less.
