For camping you have to have reservations, and at this late date i would be surprised if they have any sites left.

I go to the website, shows all open spots, you don't have to have a reservation, only on holiday weekends are they full
Spots on the beach are hard to get, unless there is a cancellation. Go to Mich DNR on your computer for reservations. This site will show you dates when sites are avaliable
You have to call the park to arrange any stay.
If you have a recreation passport. Nothing. other then that. There is a place to stop to check in and they can help ya
